Come join us for worship!

We at Hanover try to remember that we as children of God are sinners. We are not perfect and we don’t expect you to be either.

We focus our teaching on the message of Jesus Christ and His holy life, His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection. Through His actions, we have been washed clean in His sight.

Every single person experiences life differently and as a community, we lean on each other to celebrate joys in life, persevere through hardships, and grow in our walk with God.

What you can expect when you visit the first time:

  • Worship services are traditional in nature following the worship order in the Lutheran hymnal. Our services are focused on Scripture.

  • Our Sunday morning adult bible study is set up like a classroom in our gymnasium. Bible studies are a discussion, led by Pastor. We focus on the Bible verse or verses selected, however open questions and discussion are encouraged.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?

Train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it.

Proverbs 22:6

At Hanover, we believe that the best way to raise our children is in the church with the congregation, in the word.

  • Children’s Sunday school occurs at the same time as our Sunday morning adult Bible study. We tailor our Sunday school program to fit the stages of development that our children are in.

    • “Littles” (1-3 year olds) Play, songs, and snacks are used to introduce our smallest ones to God’s love.

    • “Middles” (4 year old - 5th grade) Activities, stories, and music are used to build our children’s knowledge of our faith.

    • Confirmation aged (6-7th grade) Deep dive into the Lutheran belief system and affirm personal belief in the basics of faith.

    • “Teens” (8-12th grade) Scripture and discussion are used to encourage a personal relationship with God as our older kids mature into adults, ready to venture out on their own with a lifelong foundation in their faith.

  • We encourage our children to worship with us, participate, pray, learn, and listen to the message. We know that our children are always watching and learning. They look to us for guidance and we set the example in our actions during the worship service.

A cry room is located in the back left of the church if needed during the service.
