who we are
Our congregation’s mission is to spread the love of Christ to all those we come into contact with on a daily basis. We are called to be “the light on a hill” a shining example to all those around us. We recognize that WE ARE ALL SINNERS! We all need a Savior, and therefore all are welcome to worship. We are called to spread the love of Christ and his sacrifice through our actions, words, and all we do.
We at Hanover try to remember that we as children of God are sinners. We are not perfect, and we don’t expect you to be either.
We focus on the message of Jesus Christ and His holy life, His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection. Through His actions, we have been washed clean in His sight.
The purpose of this congregation shall be to serve its members and to spread the Kingdom of God by the preaching of the Word of God, by the administration of the Sacraments and by the religious instruction of youth and adults.
Every single person experiences life differently and as a community, we lean on each other to celebrate joys in life, persevere through hardships, and grow in our walk with God.
Our worship services are traditional in nature following the order of worship in the Lutheran Service Book. Our services are focused on Scripture.
We believe the best way to raise our children is in church with the congregation. We encourage our children to worship with us, participate, pray, learn, and listen to the message. We know our children are always watching and learning. They look to us for guidance and we set the example in our actions during the worship service. Children can be brought forward during communion to receive a blessing.
